Sawasdee! Welcome to Thailand Musings!

Thailand Musings I first went to Thailand in 1997 and immediately fell in love with the country. Thailand at that time to me was mysterious and exotic, full of potentials and pitfalls. Fast forward to 2010 and here I am after 13 years and many trips to the LOS sharing, with the help of my Thai wife Golf, my experiences and knowledge with you here at Thailand Musings. Thailand may have lost some mystery for me, but it is still exotic and wonderful and I will always remember that first feeling when I stepped out into the Bangkok smog for the first time. I have yet to learn everything about Thailand and thankfully for all of us Golf is here to correct me when I err.

Living Vicariously Through Photos

Chiang Mai Temple Steps

I know many of you have probably watched this weeks financial news with a sinking feeling in your stomach. The good news is that Thailand is still there and it’s just as cheap as ever. In fact, for us Americans it looks like the dollar has rebounded a bit against the baht so your trip will be even a bit cheaper.

To help cheer us all I’ve put together this collection of Thailand photos. Maybe you can’t be there physically, but this can at least help you to be there mentally and hopefully will put some cheer into everyones weekend.

Each set is from a different location, see if you can guess the location of each. And no fair hovering over the pictures to see the titles!

Thailand Picture Set #1

Samui Sunrise Samui Beach

Thailand Picture Set #2

Khon Kaen Lake Khon Kaen Temple

Thailand Picture Set #3

Thailand Picture Set #4

Hope you all enjoyed the Thailand pictures and have a great weekend!

    Thailand is a beautiful country.
What’s going on Bangkok right now? Very unfortunate. I hope the crisis will be over soon.

    Hi David,

Thanks for the kind words and hopefully we can continue to provide great info about all things Thai for you and all the other readers out there.

Have a safe trip and enjoy your Christmas on the beach! Sand looks similar to snow right? And beer is a suitable substitute for eggnog :)
