Just wanna say this is a great site. Won’t say I am madly in love with my tirak at the moment, but seems highly possible. Anyway, great site that provides great tips on Phasa Thai. Always have trouble remembering all the terms.

I assume that you got it on your Hi5 or something like that because it means “Thanks for the add”. Naturally the appropriate response is “You’re welcome” or “Nice to meet you” or something along those lines.

Ui…. to me (female) they have been saying all the time stuff like I miss you…. At the beginning I thought ohoo, he or she has been / is / will be missing me, but now I see it rather as a way of being polite….. I don’t think they all really did / do / will miss me that much…. anyway it sounds nice

I just left BKK a few days ago and wish to know of a few places to on my return.

Just Curious,

It’s not really more common for Thai’s to say “I miss you” than it is for Europeans. If a Thai says “I miss you” it implies that you like that person just as it would in the West. Of course everyone is different so you need to consider the source as well, but as a generalization I would say that a girl telling a guy she misses him (or vice versa) would imply some level of romantic interest.
