I met Mike over 2 years ago when I was on Patpong Road and he was recently arrived from Sharkey’s Bar in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. He told me then about opening the new bar, but I had since lost touch with him. Imagine my surprise when I saw this comment on Thailand Musings. I didn’t immediately put 2 and 2 together, but once I went over to his website and saw the location of Mikes Place Patpong 2 I knew it was him. Mike is a really great guy and I think you’ll have a great time at his place and of course 1/2 price drinks are always great. So, please pay him a visit, let him know that Thailand Musings sent you and then come back here and leave us a comment about your night.

I beleive there’s somehting else not to do with alcohol on Mike’s menu. No discount on those I assume?
Haha…he didn’t mention any other discounts in his comment. I suppose you’ll need to negotiate on other menu items Ghost. Of course you could go just to avail yourself of the cheap drinks.
I dropped by Mikes Place to try out Mikes posted discount on your website. Had a Tiger beer with a shot of Jose Cuervo then tried their B.J. service. The Tiger they discounted to 50 Baht and the Jose Cuervo to 25 Baht . The B.J. was not discounted which I didn’t mind paying for the excellent service. Then I ordered a beer for the road and it was the regular price of 100 baht. I asked the bartender about the discount and she said the discount was for the first check. Anyway I will be going back for round two tomorrow and see if I get another discount. Mike was in Cambodia and not around. Thanks for the tip. Good One.
